7/4 – Rob Knight “Independence Day” HOT Forecast

Happy Independence Day!!!

As an area of high pressure in the northern Gulf of Mexico continue to suppress the atmosphere, HOT and RAIN-FREE conditions will continue through much of the workweek. Several frontal boundaries will stay north of the stat while moving west to east. The high pressure will begin to move out of the area and weaken by Thursday, elevating rain potential going into the weekend.

DANGEROUS HEAT INDICES will continue to affect the area/region as temps warm into the 90s…Heat Indices will rise between 98-105 degrees. Remember to hydrate several hours before working or playing outdoors. Take periodic breaks, seek shade and keep an eye on each other.
