7/30 – Chris’s “VERY HOT” Sunday Night Forecast

After a very loud evening a few showers and thunderstorms are still around the area this evening as rain chances decrease after the midnight hour. As we have been talking about for days high pressure is the dominate feature this evening and will continue to be as we head into the start of August. Unfortunately this means temperatures are still going to be well above average for the foreseeable future. Temperatures will max out in the upper 90s this week as some could hit the century mark. A EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING WILL BE IN EFFECT FROM 10AM TO 7PM on Monday for heat indices from 108-115. The same goes for Tuesday as there is a Excessive Heat Watch in place already. We may see a few sea-breeze induced showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon to help cool things off a tad all week. Temperatures are back to the mid 90s for the weekend with a slight afternoon chance for a shower or thunderstorm.
