7/21 – Sam Parkers “Wet Week Ahead” Sunday Night Forecast
A wet rainy weekend we had but Plenty of showers and thunderstorms are still to come this week. Although the coast is fairly worked over, we still saw good rain amounts in a few spots. There is a lot of energy so a few of these storms could be strong and can`t 100% rule out a rogue severe storm this week. However poor wind shear means they aren`t moving very much which is a threat to flash flooding. These storms are incredibly efficient rainmakers and due to repeated rounds of rain both today and in previous days, soils won`t be able to hold as much as they have been while we were drier. There`s also plenty of boundaries either from sea breezes or outflow boundaries from decaying storms for new ones to up on. For tomorrow, a disturbance in the atmosphere will be into the area in the late hours so we may have more early morning showers and storms through the afternoon hours but otherwise it`ll be a similar tune to how today played out.
