6/16 – Rob’s “OPPRESSIVE HEAT” Afternoon Forecast

This afternoon through Saturday will bring DANGEROUS/OPPRESSIVE heat to the gulf south. Heat Indices will be between 100-105°. Remember to think SAFETY & HYDRATION, along with protecting your outdoor pets. Make sure they have shade/cool spot in a well ventilated area along with plenty of water. A cold front will move through the area Saturday providing for slightly cooler temps, showers and thunderstorms…and a few potentially SEVERE T-STORMS. The severity should be over the sound/northern gulf, but because of proximity, south Mississippi could see some bumpy weather. Sunday will bring a return to more seasonal temps in the mid 80s…with MUCH DRIER air moving in.
