6/16 – Rob’s Friday/Weekend Forecast

As the very strong tropical air mass continues to dominate the region…showers/t-storms will be in the area once again today. The Father’s Day weekend will bring minimal activity Saturday as a trough of low-pressure to our NE moves off the eastern seaboard. Sunday will bring elevated instability with a 50% chance for showers & t-storms to close out the weekend.

The long tern forecast is dependent on a potential tropical system moving out of the Caribbean sea and into the southern GOM and then over the Yucatan.
