5/31 – Rob’s “Last Day of May” Forecast

As we close out the month of May, the Summer-pattern is in full swing. High-pressure blocking the SE has shifted to the NE’tern Gulf. This will break down the block slightly and allow for a HUMID wind from the Gulf. As the moisture flow continues…max heating during the early afternoon will develop the sea-breeze front and a few t-storms will pop up. This will be the scenario through Friday as a cold front approaches. Rain/T-Storm potential will increase to 40/50% for the weekend with a few storms potentially becoming SEVERE.
