5/26 – Rob’s “Friday Eve” Forecast

Heading into the holiday weekend, it will remain very tough to get showers/t-storms into the area as strong high-pressure will continue along the gulf coast westward to about Baton Rouge. Some activity will move into the area through early next week, with the activity sparked by the sea-breeze front. This will be the case for the next few/several days. With temperatures increasing into the upper 80s along with rising humidity, the HEAT INDEX will play a factor through early next week as heat indices will be between 91-97 degrees. Remember if playing or working outdoors, stay hydrated, seek shade and take periodic breaks.
