5/17 – Rob’s Tuesday “Wet Afternoon” Forecast

After a WET/GLOOMY morning, rain has decreased but will continue through today. This afternoon will bring decreased rain chances along with isolated thunderstorms as an area of low-pressure slowly moves to the NE. Several frontal boundaries will continue to affect the Gulf south through the weekend before clearing occurs. Periods of HEAVY RAIN will be the primary threat…with the HEAVIEST RAINFALL to move across the area Friday/Friday night. Rain will continue into Saturday before the upper-level support moves through and clears us out Saturday afternoon.
