5/28 – Sam Parker’s “Very Thunderous” Wednesday Night Forecast
Thunder shook the WXXV Building during the forecast and lost power during this forecast too. Overnight scattered showers and thunderstorms into Thursday morning. The storm threat continues into Thursday as we are currently in a level 1 risk for severe weather mainly for strong gust winds and potential for large hail. A slight risk level 2/4 for flooding for all south Mississippi as we could see some heavier rain rates that could lead to flash flooding. Have a way to receive weather warnings and do not drive on flooded roads. Our Cold front moves through Friday and will give us a great weekend of weather in south Mississippi. Temperatures in the mid 80s, a cooler morning, and most importantly less humid.
