4/24 – Rob’s Friday Morning “Pleasant Weekend” Forecast
As the disturbance from yesterday departs eastward, another impulse dives quickly southeast out of the Rockies to take its place. This system will move through the middle Mississippi River Valley overnight into Saturday morning with the associated cold front. There’s essentially no moisture available for this system to work with. It wouldn’t be an absolute shock to see a few dying showers across the northwest portion of the area late tonight, but will keep forecast dry for now. Aside from that, it looks like a dry weekend with high temperatures around normal. Lows, along with relative humidity will be a bit lower than normal.
As the overall patter flows to the east, mid-level flow will become northwesterly across the area. A strong system digging into the southern Great Lakes States will push a cold front through the area Tuesday night into Wednesday. Some differences in timing between models at things point.
