3/9 – Rob’s “unsettled Wednesday” Forecast

With a cold front going stationary just west of the area…VERY WINDY conditions will continue with winds from the SE gusting into the 20/30 mph range. A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY is in effect today with a GALE WATCH for tonight. Isolated rain and t-storms will move in by mid/late morning along with the activity increasing late afternoon. Tonight will bring scattered t-storms to south Mississippi with the potential for heavy rainfall. The SEVERE THREAT over Louisiana will diminish tomorrow, but periods of showers and thunderstorms will continue through Saturday as boundaries approaching the area will stay west. High-pressure to the east will break down Friday, allowing for the rain to clear the gulf south by Saturday evening.
