38th annual Biloxi Seafood Festival

One of the Coast’s notable festivals returned for its 38th year this weekend.

The Biloxi Seafood Festival kicked off Saturday and ended at 5 p.m. on Sunday. Festival-goers at the Biloxi Town Green were treated to a large variety of seafood and around 100 vendors.

Sunday also marked the festival’s signature ‘gumbo cook-off.’

Festival Co-Chair Bill Raymond says the festival is a way for the community to connect and celebrate Biloxi’s history with the seafood industry. “It’s to celebrate that, the rich seafood heritage we have here along the Coast. We’re here in downtown Biloxi, which is the heart of Biloxi. So it brings more people back to this area for more than just work. They realize this is an area that they can play, have a great time.”

The festival is put on each year by the Biloxi Chamber of Commerce.
