32nd annual Children’s Health Fair

Most schools will be back in session in just a few weeks. Before the first bell rings, students can take advantage of a free health care fair Saturday.
Starting at 9 a.m. at Edgewater Mall, kids can get free health screenings, useful information, and other perks at the 32nd annual Children’s Health Fair. The Rotary Club of Edgewater puts on this beneficial fair yearly.
Eye and dental screenings, height and weight check plus immunizations and fun and games will be on hand until 1 p.m. Ben Young with the Children’s Health Fair said, “A lot of cases we find that they don’t get these types of screenings in any other place and so typically we serve 300 to 400 children every year with the screenings. They have the ability to learn from the vendors about community services and at the end of it, we give them free school supplies.”
Once again dozens of vendors will be on hand starting at 9 in the morning and the health fair will last until 1 p.m.
