3/16 – Rob’s “Final Thursday of Winter” Forecast

Clear skies and a cold wind from the north brought COLD overnight temps in the 30s with several locations at the FREEZING MARK this morning. High-pressure in N’tern Alabama will shape our forecast into the St. Patrick’s Day weekend. The area of high-pressure will move to the E/SE with a return flow to begin this afternoon from the GOM. This will bring a rapid warm-up to the area with overnight low temps a good 10-15 degrees warmer tonight.

Temps will rebound into the low/mid 70s tomorrow through the weekend into the 1st day of Spring. A weak cold front will move into the area late Saturday with a few showers possible; the system will begin to dissipate as it moves overhead.
