3/21 – Jeff Vorick’s “Warmer & Breezy” Tuesday Afternoon Forecast

The warm-up has begun across our area! Temperatures are soaring well into the 60s this afternoon under plenty of sunshine. Winds are breezy out of the southeast. Winds will relax this evening as daytime heating is lost. Temperatures will be not quite as cold overnight with 50s for morning lows Wednesday.

The warmer pattern sets in for the middle of the week. High temperatures over the next couple of days will reach into the 70s, with isolated 80-degree readings possible Thursday. A few clouds can be expected Wednesday with more clouds entering the picture Thursday. The pattern keeping the storm systems to our north will sag south into Friday.

A system will move into our area Friday/Saturday. It will bring a cold front with it overnight Friday into Saturday. That will provide for a 60% chance of thunderstorms. There is the chance for severe weather and heavy rainfall with it. However, timing should favor less volatile activity. There will be a slight drop in moisture behind the front Saturday leading to an overall nice day.
