24th annual Cruisin’ the Coast comes to an end

The 24th annual Cruisin’ the Coast has officially come and gone.

The events wrapped up Sunday starting with closing ceremonies at Gulf Coast Centennial Plaza. Cash prizes were given away and the winner of the Cruisin’ the Coast raffle car was announced while bands kept the crowds entertained.

One cruiser shared what his experience has been like this week. Cruiser Jerry Jacobs said, “Our car club runs the mall stamping and all. We stamp cars for all the cruisers so I have seen a lot of the cars there. I’ve been around getting all my stamps done, driving around in my mustang. I’ve been sitting down on the beach and watching the cars go by and do burnouts. That was the fun part. It was alright if it hadn’t been for the storm and all the bad things we’ve had with COVID and all that but it wasn’t too bad.”

2021 will be the 25th anniversary of Cruisin’ the Coast and those dates are October 3rd through the 10th.
