23rd Annual Spring Arts Festival
An Ocean Springs festival that started 23 years ago as a small garden event in a parking lot is now overflowing onto the streets of downtown.
The Spring Arts Festival is set to hit the streets this weekend with more than 125 vendors. A portion of Washington Avenue between Porter Avenue and Government Street will be closed to traffic Saturday for the event. The public is invited to come out and enjoy art, crafts, live entertainment and much more.
Executive Director of Chamber Main Street-Tourism Bureau Cynthia Sutton said, “We hope everybody comes out and enjoys the weekend. We have a lot of activities from artists, crafts, plant booths. We also have speakers, artist demonstrations. So it’s a busy weekend with all kinds of activities. We’re excited about this year’s festival and looking forward to the two day event.”
The festival starts this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. then again on Sunday from 9 to 4. However, the road will only be closed during the event on Saturday.
