Mississippi Power’s storm team of 100 linemen and support personnel has safely arrived in Mobile to assist in the Hurricane Sally restoration effort.
One hundred linemen and support personnel, along with 90 additional contracted employees, are working to restore service to customers in Mobile and the surrounding areas impacted by the storm.
Crews are currently working to repair broken poles and lines among a multitude of downed trees and other debris in Mobile and the surrounding areas. Engineering Supervisor Matt Fall said, “We’ve had a really busy hurricane season, we’ve been on trips to Philadelphia, New York, Lake Charles, Louisiana, and now we’re going to help one of our own companies in Southern Company. We’re really excited. The guys are in really high spirits. Nobody enjoys a disaster, but we really like to help out. This is what we do best, we’re storm tested, storm ready, and prepared. Even though we didn’t have much damage here, now we’re ready to go help whoever needs it, and that’s what we’re about to go do.”
