WCU School of Pharmacy announce Miss. Pharmacists Advocacy Council

William Carey University is launching a new student organization this spring.

It’s the Mississippi Pharmacists Advocacy Council.

The purpose is to stay up to date on policies affecting pharmacy practice and develop advocates for their profession.

Students plan to do this to be engaging elected officials and other policy makers.

School officials say when students take on leadership roles like this, they are training themselves to be active and informed members of the community.

Staff also says they are teaching themselves to advocate for the people they serve.
