The Wiggins Police Department is partnering with the Stone County Sheriff’s Department and local businesses and churches to collect necessities for people who were recently affected by Hurricane Laura.
The collection started today and will continue until Friday September 11th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The items that are being collected range from household items, toiletries, feminine products, drinks, and baby items for the victims in Louisiana.
The items will be collected at the Wiggins Police Department daily. The goal is to fill two trailers of goods and the delivery date to Louisiana will then be determined.
