The hot summertime pattern continues as the humid flow from the GOM dominates the region. The moisture flow will continue to saturate the atmosphere, thus leading to the sea-breeze interaction early afternoon.
Isolated to scattered showers and t-storms will develop along the coast and push inland. Overnight activity should be limited to the otter coastal waters with a possible shower/t-storm along the immediate beach.
The strong moisture flow will also have an effect on the HEAT INDEX. Heat indices topped out in the low 100s yesterday with much of the same through the rest of the workweek into the weekend. The areas affected by afternoon t-storms will find a little relief from the heat and the elevated heat indices.
