Latest analysis shows high-pressure beginning to weaken over the Gulf extending east across Florida. In addition, a minor disturbance was located just west of Arklatex Region. The disturbance approaching the Arklatex region will continue to lift northeast through this afternoon. The moisture flow ahead of this wave will shift east through today. As a result, convection coverage will be scattered in nature. The upper level high-pressure will flatten from Mexico to Florida on Tuesday. All in all, scattered convection is expected this week.
An upper level disturbance over the Rockies will shift northeast by midweek and allow the high-pressure to redevelop over the Plains. As a result, flow will become northerly by Friday and allow a wave/low to dive south and approach the Lower Mississippi Valley latter part of next week and next weekend. As a result, slightly higher rain chances for next weekend.
