There has been some recent progress on the $7.3 million North Gulfport Middle School expansion project.
This is a part of the $55 million bond with the Harrison County School District. Phase one is underway, as construction is taking shape on new restrooms, the ICT building, and the new administrative office building.
North Gulfport Middle School Principal Natasha Williams tells News 25 everyone is excited for what’s to come with the project and looks forward to things hopefully being completed by the end of the school year. “It has definitely been an effort of the faculty and staff, as well. We have had to make adjustments and modifications to make sure we are providing a safe environment for our students. We are beginning with the end in mind, knowing that the finished product will be well worth it.”
After phase one of the project is complete, phase two of this three part project will get underway which includes the gym.
