Patchy fog continues across the Gulf Coast this afternoon, especially right along the water.
A few scattered showers are rolling through South Mississippi and light rain can be expected on and off through the rest of the day. Rain chances are at around 40 percent.
Temperatures continue to be well above normal for mid-January. Highs today will top out in the mid 70s. Overnight lows will be in the mid 50s.
Temperatures will be slightly cooler Friday before warming back up on Saturday. Showers and thunderstorms will move in ahead of a cold front Saturday. The start of next week will be much colder with highs dropping to the mid 50s and lows dipping into the upper 20s by Monday night.
