A Gulfport man is home free tonight after a jury unanimously found him not guilty on both counts of an armed robbery from 2016.
The robbery was at the Exxon Station off 30th Avenue downtown. Police pulled Tevin Ball over shortly after the robbery and not far from the scene. He was arrested when authorities matched him with the description of the suspect.
According to Ball’s attorney Mike Crosby, the witnesses at the scene were unable to identify Ball in a police lineup.
The only resemblance was a gold beanie cap Ball was wearing at the time of his arrest.
