The Biloxi Police Department arrested 43-year-old Christopher Lee Johns on a charge of third degree arson.
The arrest was the result of an investigation into an arson incident reported on December 9th in the 700 block of Howard Ave in which a recycling bin/ garbage can was set on fire. The fire damaged the recycling bin and scorched the side of a business. The fire was extinguished by Biloxi Fire Department preventing any structural damage to the building.
Evidence obtained during the investigation of this incident assisted Biloxi Police in identifying Johns as the suspect that allegedly committed this crime.
Johns was transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center where he was held on a $25,000.00 bond set by Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain.
