With temperatures topping out near 80 degrees this afternoon, this will likely be the last “warm” day along the Gulf Coast for a while. Showers and a few thunderstorms will roll through South Mississippi this afternoon and evening ahead of a cold front. A few showers may linger into Friday morning. Lows will be in the lower 50s.
Overcast skies are likely throughout the day Friday and will eventually clear by Saturday morning. It will be breezy with a north wind at 10-20 miles per hour. Temperatures will be in the lower 60s during the day and lower 40s at night through the weekend.
We’re keeping a close eye on the forecast for the middle of next week as we could see our first freeze of the season Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. The forecast will change between now and then, so be sure to check back for updates.
