BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (WXXV)— New parking regulations are coming to parts of Bay St. Louis starting Monday morning, aimed at improving traffic flow and access for deliveries to downtown businesses.

City officials say the changes will impact parts of Main Street, North Beach Boulevard, and Court Street.

According to a public notice from the city, designated public parking spaces in those areas are now marked with signage outlining new restrictions tied to unloading zones.

Under the updated rules in those marked areas:

  • No parking will be allowed from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Monday through Friday
  • No parking from 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays
  • Standard parking will be allowed outside of those hours
  • Vehicles parked during restricted times will be subject to towing

City leaders say the goal is to improve access for delivery and service vehicles during early morning hours, while still maintaining parking availability for residents and visitors throughout the rest of the day.

Drivers are encouraged to watch for posted signage and follow all updated parking regulations to avoid fines or towing.
