Afternoon showers are helping to keep things cooler over the last few days, but we’ll see much drier days ahead. Yesterday’s front pushed south, but we still saw the development of sea-breeze showers by 2 PM. They didn’t last long, but did bring at least two inches to parts of Jackson county. Those storms are already gone, but I expect at least one or two more through the evening.
By tomorrow afternoon rain chances will be in the single digits.
This dry trend carries through the weekend, but sadly doesn’t last much longer than that. We’ll be right back to our usual summertime “hot, humid, and rainy” pattern by the beginning of next week.
