A deadly weekend on South Mississippi roads


A deadly weekend on South Mississippi roads this past weekend after one wreck on I-10 in Harrison County claims the lives of two people.

It happened Sunday afternoon after a head-on collision between two vehicles.

AMR treated four people at the scene after first responders extricated two of the victims from each vehicle.

The rescue five helicopter transported the victims to local hospitals.

The east and westbound lanes were blocked off for hours Sunday afternoon during the rescue and crash investigation.

No word yet on the identity of the two people who died.
