For the fifth day in a row, the Saints hit the practice field in preparation for the start of the season.
With the first pre-season game just 11 days away, the Saints continue to inch closer to real game action. New offseason acquisition Jared Cook has been the star of training camp so far, showcasing the big play ability that got him to New Orleans.
As for star wideout Michael Thomas? Well, there’s been no sign of him yet as he awaits a new contract.
Defensive end Cameron Jordan says that his teammates are behind him and aren’t worried. “At the end of the day, you want to be valued by your team, not only your team, but you have a value within yourself and you know what you can get and what you want. That’s for two sides to come together to an agreement. I’m going to focus on being the best I can be. I’m going to wish MT the best that he can be. I know he’s out there working somewhere. Whatever field that he’s taking too, he’s always taking to with the same mentality. I’m really not stressed about that situation. I’ll leave it to the organization and Mike T.”
There are still three training camp sessions that aren’t sold out yet. Tickets can be reserved at neworleanssaints.com. Tickets are first come, first serve.
