The 39th year of the Moss Point River Jamboree is just a day away and the setup is well underway.
The deeply rooted tradition is set to kick off at 11 a.m. with good food, games for the kids, and more than 25 vendors on hand. The highlight of the event is a live performance by the local favorite band ‘Unphased.’
Moss Point Economic Director Sue Wright says this is an event that will be around for many more years to come. “The fact that it is a tradition we want to keep that going. It means a lot to the community. I think it’s one of the festivals that Moss Point is known for so we’re going to keep that tradition alive.”
In the event that the weather’s not favorable tomorrow, the fun will move indoors.
