With the weather we had yesterday, it was only fitting a spring pop up exhibit invitational at the Walter Anderson Museum of Art in Ocean Springs was all about appreciation of land and water.
The Water Water Invitational included 50 contemporary artists from across the region. Each piece showcased how nature continues to impact our lives and inspire artists in contemporary spaces.
Weathering the storm through art is what Walter Anderson stood for, appreciating what the Coast has to offer when it comes to creativity and expression. Walter Anderson Museum of Art Executive Director Julian Rankin said, “Reminding people there is work being made out in the world as we speak. So, honoring contemporary artists is part of the balance of doing that, honoring the legacy and then spotlighting who is making wonderful things today.”
Water Water is one of three brand new exhibitions at the museum.
