Biloxi City Council votes on blocking short term rentals


Biloxi City Council’s meeting was standing room only as residents were lined up to voice their concerns and support for permits allowing short term rentals.

The council voted against imposing a temporary block on the issuance of short term rental permits. Short term rental is currently not allowed in single family zones in Biloxi.

Now, the Biloxi Planning Commission will have a meeting at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Community Development Auditorium to discuss rezoning certain areas.

A public hearing will also take place.
