Pearl River County sheriff deputies complete quarterly training
PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department completed their quarterly training.
Training covered a number of topics, ranging from domestic disturbance calls, residential and commercial active shooters, tactical response with K9s, and much more.
Deputies were given multiple scenarios to respond to when entering an unknown layout.
The suspects were hidden or running around. No response team experienced the same scenario.
Loud distractions, victims, hostages, and other effects filled the training.
After a round, each team was given a breakdown of corrections, skills to practice, and an explanation of how realistic events may differ.
