2019 MS GOP Primary Poll shows tight race

The first public poll of the Republican primary shows a tight race between candidates Tate Reeves and Bill Waller Jr.

The poll of likely Republican primary voters released this morning shows that 41 percent of Mississippians are voting for Lt. Governor Reeves while 31 percent would vote for former Supreme Court Justice Waller and 13 percent would vote for State Representative Robert Foster. Fifteen percent are undecided.

If no candidate earns more than 50 percent of the vote next Tuesday, the top-two will face off in a runoff election on August 27th.
