Over 2,000 individuals and households approved for FEMA Disaster Assistance so far
More than 2,000 individuals and households in Mississippi have been approved for FEMA Disaster Assistance to help with Hurricane Zeta damage.
According to FEMA, as of today, disaster funding totaling $7.57 million so far has been approved for Mississippians who suffered hurricane damage and other effects.
Of that money, $6.46 million was approved for housing assistance and $1.11 million was approved for other disaster-related needs.
You have less than four weeks to apply for FEMA disaster assistance if you have not yet done so. FEMA Media Manager Robert Howard said, “When you make your application, you want to have such things as your social security number ready, and the documentation about your home that shows it’s your primary residence, and of course, the photos of the damage that you sustained.”
The deadline to apply for FEMA Hurricane Zeta disaster assistance is March 1st. You can apply online at disasterassistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-3362.
