19-year-old wanted for Wednesday night shooting at a Pascagoula apartment complex
PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV)- The Pascagoula Police Department is searching for an individual wanted in connection with a shooting at an apartment complex on Wednesday night.
PPD says officers responded to a report of gunfire at Taylor Heights Apartments on Old Mobile Avenue around midnight.
At the scene, officers found several shell casings and vehicles that had been struck by gunfire. Investigators later learned that an individual was also struck by gunfire and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the suspect fled the scene, and the vehicle he was driving was later found abandoned on Mill Street in Moss Point.
The suspect was identified as 19-year-old Justin Hooks. According to police, Hooks is 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds.
PPD says Hooks should be considered armed and dangerous. If you come in contact with Hooks, do not approach him. Instead, call 911.
