18th Annual Gulf Coast Beach Bash

The St. Thomas Community Center in Long Beach was packed with black and gold tonight.
Southern Miss Head Football Coach Jay Hopson, assistant coaches, football players and even Seymour the mascot and the Southern Miss cheerleaders joined alumni and fans for the 18th annual Gulf Coast Beach Bash at the USM Gulf Park campus.
The night was full of family friendly fun, a live and silent auction, face painting and fans getting autographs from players and coaches all to prepare for the 2016 season.
This is Coach Hopson’s first year as head coach. He tells News 25 he’s just ready to get the season started.
The Golden Eagles open the 2016 season on September 3rd at Kentucky. Their home opener will be September 10th against Savannah State.
