18-wheeler crashes with pick-up truck on Highway 49

A crash involving an 18-wheeler and a pick-up truck on Highway 49 left one man injured and his car totaled.

Mississippi Highway Patrol received a call about the crash around 6:21 p.m. According to the patrol, the pick-up truck driver went to change lanes without yielding. The driver then switched into the lane between the semi-truck and another vehicle when the crash occurred.

The Harrison County Fire Department and sheriff’s department responded to the scene.

All people involved in the crash survived.

The driver of the pick-up truck sustained minor injuries and left the scene without being transported to the hospital.
