18-wheeler Accident on Interstate 10 Eastbound

It was a traffic nightmare for drivers on Interstate 10 eastbound this afternoon in Jackson County.
An 18-wheeler left the road around 1 o’clock and hit the Old Fort Bayou Road overpass between exits 50 and 57.
The 18-wheeler was hauling fire extinguishers and caught on fire. Traffic was backed up for hours.
Arthur Apple of North Carolina was driving the 18-wheeler. He was taken to Ocean Springs Hospital with injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.
