Mississippi’s Qualifying Deadline Has Passed, 4 Candidates Running for 4th Congressional District Seat
The qualifying deadline for Mississippi’s upcoming election this November has passed. Friday was the qualifying deadline for candidates to file qualifying papers in all federal races that will appear on Mississippi’s March 10th primary ballot, which will ultimately lead to the the state’s general election on November 3rd.
Several races will be on the ballot, including Mississippi’s 4th Congressional District seat.
Incumbent, Republican Steven Palazzo will face at least three challengers in the March 10th party primary as he seeks re-election this year. One of them is current Biloxi City Councilman Robert Deming.
The other two contenders in this race are Carl Boyanton and Samuel Hickman.
No democratic candidate has filed to run in this election, so whoever wins the Republican primary will be Mississippi’s next 4th Congressional District representative.
