12/5 – Rob’s Monday “Gloomy/Foggy/BUMPY” Forecast

After a rainy/gloomy weekend, we have a bit of a break from the activity. An area of low-pressure in the NW’tern Gulf of Mexico will begin to move NE, this will convert a stationary front to the south into a warm front as it move into and through the area. This afternoon as the front moves north, a few t-storms could become SEVERE…as the storm prediction center has our area in a “SLIGHT THREAT” area. The main threat will come this afternoon through the midnight time frame. Instability will begin to decrease tonight as the warm front moves into northern Mississippi/Alabama, with the cold front poised to the west to move through the area prior to sunrise Tuesday. Another cold front, a much drier system will move through early Wednesday morning.
