12/28 – Rob’s “SEVERE” Forecast

With a cold front in eastern Texas moving east…a squall line with strong t-storms, damaging winds and heavy rain has developed in advance of the front. South Mississippi is under a TORNADO WATCH until 8 a.m. as the squall line clears the area. The main threat will come this morning with HEAVY RAIN, FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND GUSTING WINDS…TORNADOES also a possibility as Doppler has been indicating good rotation with these storms along the squall line. The activity will move east this afternoon with BREEZY CONDITIONS…a WIND ADVISORY is in effect through noon…but will likely be extended through this evening. Tuesday will bring a break in the rain with another system and HEAVY RAIN poised to move through the Gulf South Wednesday.
