12/4 – Jeff’s “Cold Returns” Monday Evening Forecast

Skies will remain partly cloudy overnight thanks to upper-level clouds streaming in from southwest-to-northeast. Temperatures do plummet tonight with cool readings in the evening turning cold past midnight. Light winds will provide for a slight wind chill factor Tuesday morning. The same cloud cover will stream in through the day tomorrow. It will be a few degrees cooler during the afternoon as compared to earlier today.

A reinforcing shot of cold air arrives for the middle of the week. This will help mornings remain cold while providing for cool afternoons. The cold pattern will change by the end of the week as high pressure shifts to its east. This reintroduces warm and more humid air. As the atmosphere recovers, a frontal system will be moving into our region this weekend. There will be the possibility for thunderstorms Saturday.
