12/29 – Jeff Vorick’s “Cold Overnight” Friday Evening Forecast
Temperatures will plummet this evening and we will have another cold night in the area. Locations inland of the interstate will likely have a freeze again while beachfront spots will be dealing with frost potential. Colder-than-average temperatures stick around into the weekend. Saturday will be a mainly sunny day with afternoon temperatures in the 50s.
The final day of 2023 will be a pleasant one with temperatures a notch warmer, especially into the afternoon. A few clouds are possible by the afternoon but expect sunny skies and near-average afternoon high temperatures. New Year’s Eve activities will go off without a hitch. Clouds will be on the increase but outside of it feeling a bit on the cool side, it will remain rain-free.
The regional weather pattern makes big changes into next week. First, New Year’s Day will bring a 50-60% chance of rain from mid-morning through the afternoon. As the week progresses, multiple frontal systems will bring rain chances for the middle of the week and again possibly as soon as next weekend.
