12/28 Ryan’s “Clear For Now” Friday Evening Forecast

Last night’s front passed through early this morning, so while it may be clear for now the rain isn’t over just yet. Winds have shifted from the North and are bringing in drier air, but as the front moves away it’ll only bring another into frame overnight. Skies will remain at least mostly clear until midnight which will allow for decent cooling. That, along with our weakening winds and damp conditions, will lead to visibility issues tonight as patchy fog develops.

By Saturday afternoon we’ll be in the warm sector of this new frontal system, which means more warm moist air, overcast skies, and scattered showers.

We’ll remain in this limbo until Monday evening when the front is finally forced Eastward across South MS. Even this passage doesn’t immediately bring cool and dry conditions as it stalls overhead, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel and we’ll see the return of sunshine, dry air, and cool/chilly temperatures a week from today.
