12/26 – Brantly’s “Warm and Muggy” Thursday Night Forecast
Overcast skies will continue through the overnight hours into tomorrow morning. Patchy fog is already developing along the coast and is expected to increase over the next few hours.
Due to the low cloud cover, temperatures are staying warm this evening as heat from the daytime is having a hard time escaping from the surface. Temperatures will stay in the lower 60s for most of the night.
On Friday, temperatures will be warm again, close to 70 degrees. Cloudy skies are expected and scattered showers are likely in the afternoon and evening. Rain chances are running at around 40 percent.
Similar conditions are expected Saturday.
On Sunday, rain chances go up to around 70 percent as our next cold front approaches. Widespread showers and a few thunderstorms are expected, but the overall severe weather threat is low. Following the passage of the cold front, temperatures will drop by 10 to 15 degrees heading into next week. Highs will be in the lower 60s with overnight lows in the 40s.
