12/15 Ryan’s “Frigid” Monday Morning Forecast
We woke up to frigid weather in South Mississippi this morning as lows fell towards the mid 20s on the coast today!
Today was the coldest day we’ve seen so far this season, with the frigid weather putting us on par with our historic snow day from earlier this year! Coastal temperatures fell as slow as 27°, with inland only slightly cooler at 24°. Thankfully, yesterday’s wind weakened some, but wind chills still fell as low as 16 degrees for a short time in Wiggins this morning. The dry air and high pressure will keep skies clear and sunny through the day and into tomorrow, but shortly after that light clouds will slowly creep in. They’ll keep creeping in through Wednesday as we slowly warm up ahead of our next front, which will have us back into the 70s by Thursday afternoon and bring us a bit more rain. Things cool down slightly for the end of the week, but warm right back up by the start of the next!
