12/12 – Brittany’s “Gloomy Start To The Workweek” Monday Evening Forecast
Tonight, we can expect cool temperatures and foggy conditions yet again. Heading into tomorrow though, we’ll see the potential for severe weather in our area. We’ll be under a MARGINAL and a SLIGHT risk for severe weather which is level 1 and 2, out of 5. The brunt of the activity will move through tomorrow evening. Beyond tomorrow evening and into Wednesday, the rain and the risk for severe weather will stick around. By Wednesday, our entire viewing area will be under a SLIGHT threat. The greatest threats we could see will be damaging wind gusts, heavy rainfall, and tornadic activity. The majority of us could see anywhere from 2-3 inches of accumulation by Thursday morning. The reason we’ll see the activity ramping up will be because of an approaching cold front that will push through our area by the end of Wednesday evening. We can expect clearing conditions and cooler temperatures behind the cold front with daytime highs, maxing out in the 60’s.
